An official source from the Football Association denied that there had been any investigation related to what was raised about the Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi, Zamalek midfielder, who intentionally placed a third yellow card in the Tala` Al-Jaish match after injuring himself to return after facing to Smouha without cards.
Sassi suffered a concussion during the last match between Zamalek and Al-Jaysh Al-Jaysh, and during his departure from the stadium he received a yellow card, which is the third for him to be suspended in the Smouha match.
A source from the Football Association told “Yallakora” “The matter will not be investigated. This is common in Egyptian football.”
He continued: “How will it be proven that the premeditated player was injured and if he was sent off during the game? These are things that we are used to in the league.”
Amir Mortada Mansour told Zamalek TV: “There was coordination between Carteron and Ferjani Sassi to allow the player to rest in the next game and to clear the warnings he received.”
Spain’s Sergio Ramos, captain and defender of Real Madrid, has doubled the suspension penalty by the European Football Association “UEFA” in February 2019, after he deliberately got a warning in his team’s game against Ajax Amsterdam, in the first leg of matchday 16 of the UEFA Champions League at that time.
Ramos committed an infraction against Ajax forward Casper Dulberg, to obtain a warning for missing the second leg against the Dutch national team, and admitted after the game that he had intended to get the warning in the Ajax game, before returning and confirming that he didn’t mean that.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) at the time, Ramos told reporters: “I would be lying if I said that I did not intend to get a yellow card.”
And the European Union punished Ramos by adding another match to the sanction they imposed on him after receiving a second warning against Ajax Amsterdam.
