An official source from the Pyramids Club confirmed that the deal to buy Ramadan Sobhi, the Huddersfield player, had been rescinded for less than what Al-Ahly had offered for £ 50,000.
Pyramids is scheduled to announce the Ramadan Sobhi deal at 6pm today, Monday, via a press conference at the stadium, June 30.
The source said in his remarks to “Masrawy”, “Ramadan Subhi from the beginning signed a contract for a period of 5 seasons, not 3 seasons. What was raised about the increase in the contract period is true.”
“Pyramids managed to close the deal with less money than Al-Ahly offered Huddersfield at £ 50,000.”
According to the official statement from the Al-Ahly Club on Ramadan Sobhi’s position, Red Castle officials reached a deal with Huddersfield to buy Ramadan Sobhi for 3.25 million pounds.
Huddersfield has yet to reveal any details of the sale of Ramadan Sobhi to Pyramids Club.
The source added: “Mamdouh Eid, the club’s executive director, made a great effort while in England to close the deal. After his return to Egypt, he contacted Huddersfield officials and finalized some final details.”
He continued: “The exchange of material for the deal was transferred to Huddersfield 3 days ago.”
He concluded his comments by saying: “What is being raised about the annual salary of Ramadan Sobhi is wrong.”
