Walid Suleiman said in the video clip published by the Al-Ahly channel: “I was hoping that God would guide us with that tournament and be present and give them this medal in front of everyone in the stadium.”
He added: “We as players were responsible for ourselves and the team, but you were responsible for many other things, and most of us had a great burden.”
For his part, Al-Khatib responded to Walid Suleiman thanking him for this gesture, refusing to receive the medal, saying: “I have it.” The Al-Ahly player responded by saying, “This is from me,” so Al-Khatib greeted her with the embrace of the red genie.
Al-Khatib commented on Walid Suleiman’s behavior through the club’s channel, saying: “He did something for which I thank him, but I do not agree, because this medal is his right and the right of his children, and if God want, this medal will now have come with a gift “.
