The Ministry of Health and Population announced on Saturday that 477 people recovering from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of who have recovered from the virus to 109,462 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 1,189 new cases were registered that tested positive in laboratory tests for the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating 43 new deaths.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Saturday is 131,315 cases, including 109,462 cured cases and 7,352 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to make preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the Ministry has also assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. , Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health” available on phones.
