Zamalek is the champion of the championship after winning the last edition of 2019 against Nahdet Berkane, who will face Pyramids in the final, where he defeated the Moroccan team in the final on penalties (5-3) after drawing 1-1 on aggregate .
Al-Ahly previously crowned the Confederation Championship in 2014 as the first Egyptian team to win this title, where they beat Siwi Sport of the Ivory Coast with a goal they fought in Egypt after losing in the round (2-1), to overcome the off-field goal rule.
In the tournament’s former name, “African Cup Champions Club”, Al-Ahly managed to win the title four times in 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1993, and the Arab Contractors won the title three times in 1982, 1983 and 1996. .
Pyramids hope to win the title at the Stadium Sports Complex Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat, Morocco, next Sunday, to become the fourth Egyptian team to win the championship after Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Arab Contractors.
