Today Saturday, the Ministry of the Interior announced the opening of 4 new civil registries in the governorates of Fayoum, Sohag and Beni Suef, as part of the decisions made by the ministry, starting last month, to facilitate the issuance of citizenship ID identity, which began with the opening of new civil registry offices in 8 shopping centers in Greater Cairo.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement this Saturday morning that from today, the work will extend until 9 pm in the civil registries in the areas of “Al-Shorouk”, “Madinaty” and “Imbaba” in El Cairo and Giza, in addition to the registration of “Sidi Salem” in the governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh and Itay Al-Baroud. In Al-Buhaira governorate, and the seat of the Fayoum administration in Fayoum governorate, and the typical seat in the Al-Multaqa towers in Abbasiya, Cairo Governorate.

The Ministry of the Interior continues its continuous development and modernization efforts, with the aim of providing public services in an easy and civilized way to citizens, in line with technological development.

The Ministry of the Interior revealed that the working day was also extended in a large number of civil status registries until 9:00 p.m., without stopping working throughout the week, including Friday in most civil status registries, to avoid the accumulation of citizens in civil registries and to Facilitate the implementation of their requests to citizens.
