This is the second Saudi clash in the decisive rounds of the continental championship, following the victory and cooperation clash in the round of 16, which was resolved by Moroccan striker Hamdallah in favor of victory by one goal.
On the other hand, Al-Ahly qualified for the quarterfinals at the expense of the United Arab Emirates club Shabab Al-Ahly, defeating them on penalties (4-3).
While Persepolis achieved the same role at the expense of Al-Sadd, Qatar, after defeating him with a goal, while Bakhtakor of Uzbekistan defeated Iranian independence.
During the draw ceremony, the AFC announced the application of the “watch” technique for the first time in tournament history since the quarterfinals.
