Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 98 patients recovered from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. This brings the total of those who recover from the virus to 102,816 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 392 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 16 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 116,303 cases, including 102,816 cured cases and 6,666 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to make preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the Ministry has assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. These include the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
