The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Monday, that 345 coronavirus recuperators have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of the 107,162 cases have recovered from the virus to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 718 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to 32 new deaths.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 126,273 cases, including 107,162 cured cases and 7,130 deaths.
