He explained that the AstraZinkia vaccine needs a cooling system that reaches 20 below zero, which is easy to provide in Egypt, indicating that the World Health Organization has identified more primary categories to obtain a vaccine, which is the most affected group. represented by the elderly and those with chronic diseases, then the most exposed to injury and doctors.
“The 20 million doses will not be the end of the day, and the Prime Minister has ordered negotiations with other companies to buy vaccines for Corona that may arrive before the next dose of Jaffe, which is scheduled to arrive in mid-2021,” he said .
He explained that citizens will receive a “dry” vaccine for free, adding that “if they contract other companies to purchase vaccines, they can provide a rate for citizens who are not within the highest priority categories and who have financial capacity and wish to buy the vaccine. “
He stressed that the vaccines will be available through the Ministry of Health, not in pharmacies, which indicated that the number of Coronavirus infections will exceed 400 cases on Wednesday.
