Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 133 patients recovered from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. This brings the total of people recovering from the virus to 103,082 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 432 new cases were registered that tested positive in laboratory tests for the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 19 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of today, Thursday, is 117,156 cases, including 103,082 cured cases and 6,713 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the Ministry has assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. These include the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
