European reports say there is a legal hurdle hampering the transfer of Barcelona player Luis Suárez to Juventus during the current summer transfer period.
Suarez was linked to leaving Camp Nou during the current Mercato period, amid concerns from Dutch Ajax (his former club) and Italy’s Juventus.
According to some Italian reports, the Barça forward is close to moving to Bianconeri after the two parties agreed on the player’s personal conditions, contract value and salary (see more details)
But according to the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, the Uruguayan forward plays among the ranks of the Spanish League on the European Union player list and is not among the foreign players because his wife “Sofia” has an Italian passport.
And the Italian newspaper added that the aforementioned passport is not enough to play in the Italian league, adding that the 31-year-old will have to pass a small test to be able to play normally in calcium.
It should be noted that Barcelona has mentioned several names that will leave the Catalan team during the current Mercato, among them Luis Suárez, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic, who has already left the ranks of Sevilla (his former club).
