Horrific moments sparked panic on British streets after police arrested a man carrying a knife, who killed a 10-year-old boy, stabbed two adults and ran over a five-year-old girl in indiscriminate attacks, and the court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The aggressor, “Carlos Racital”, 33, was convicted on 4 counts of murder. After 4 separate incidents in Leicester, during the month of January 2020, shocking CCTV footage released by police showed him running in the street with a knife after attacking a man in his seventies.
He also stabbed a 10-year-old boy and a woman in his 30s and ran over a five-year-old girl with a car, breaking her nose, cuts and bruises.
Police were initially called to report that the 10-year-old boy, who has not been identified, was stabbed in Belber Street, Leicester.
The boy was injured in the neck and was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery and was released from the hospital two days later, and police released footage of the incident after the attacker was sentenced to life in prison.
Despite the verdict, the boy’s family said: “Seeing our little one being attacked on that terrifying day was a nightmare for us … It is something no one should go through … and all of his victims have been taken to hospital. “.
