Artist Nabil Al-Halafawi commented on the departure of A.The ex-deputy and president of the deposed Zamalek club, Mortada Mansour, from the electoral race through a tweet through his official account on the Twitter site.
Al-Halfawi said through his tweet: “It is logical that the Zamalek fans link the fate of the club and the legal dispute over the decisions of the Olympic Committee, as it has an impact on the presidency of the club.”
Al-Halafawi added: “But I do not understand the link between the fate of the club and the membership of the House of Representatives. Almost all the club presidents, including the former presidents of Zamalek, were not deputies.”
The second round will be held between 4 candidates after they get the loudest votes: Badawy Abdel Latif, who won the 32,488 votes and Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Alfi 31,578 votes and Abdul Fattah Al-Bahrawi 27,469 votes and Mahmoud Al-Azab 24,791 votes.
A second round will be held to select two candidates to win the two seats in the district.
Meanwhile, Mortada Mansour, former deputy and president of the Zamalek Club, was in sixth place with 21,271 votes after being out of the electoral race.
It is logical that the Zamalek fans link the fate of the club and the legal dispute over the decisions of the Olympic Committee, given their impact on the club’s presidency.
But I don’t understand the link between the club’s luck and membership in Parliament. (Almost) all club presidents, including previous Zamalek presidents, were not deputies.– Nabil al-Halafawi (@nabilirfawy) November 9, 2020
