The World Health Organization emphasized the need for interdependence between countries, to beat the Corona virus that swept the world.

The director of the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, Ahmed Al-Manzari, emphasized that this epidemic cannot be defeated and thousands of lives saved except through solidarity, saying: “If we do not succeed now, we never will. we will achieve. “

He said in a speech published on the organization’s official account last Friday night: “There will be no other opportunity to save lives other than this opportunity.

“The virus will stay with us for a long time.”

It is noteworthy that the world organization had confirmed more than once that the emerging virus, which first appeared in China last December, would continue. A few days ago, the organization’s director, Tedros Adhanum Ghebryesos, reiterated that the epidemic did not take long to end. “The world had to listen carefully to WHO because the global emergency was announced on January 30,” he said, with 82 HIV cases registered outside of China, but without a death count.

Also last week, he stated that most countries are still in the early stages of fighting the emerging virus, considering that the majority of the world’s population is vulnerable to Covid-19 infection. “No one is wrong: we have a long way to go. This virus will be with us for a long time,” he added.
