Cement prices today .. Cement prices are witnessing a marked variation in the Egyptian market in light of the fluctuating movement of demand, for several different reasons, including the calm construction and construction movement, especially after the Corona crisis.

The factories’ production capacity increased to 83 million tons instead of 68.5 million tons during 2017, despite this, market demand decreased to almost 50 million tons.

The total production lines in Egypt reached 48 production lines, and the state owns two companies in the market, and the private sector owns 18 companies and 52% of the factories are owned by multinationals.

And cement prices today ranged from £ 700 to £ 750 per ton.

While the price of white cement ranged from £ 2,400 to £ 2,450, and mixed cement was £ 720 per ton, and resistant cement was £ 850 per ton.

Some were optimistic about the increase in the volume of cement demand, along with the launch of a series of new national projects, especially the new administrative capital, the social housing project and the construction of one million housing units, but this did not happen due to the decrease in construction in small projects, which represents most of the volume of demand in the cement market.

The movement of the real estate sector is one of the most important determinants of the cement industry, and the market is witness to many challenges due to the diminishing purchasing power of citizens and the increase in competition and leadership of small real estate companies. and the government to extend the reimbursement periods for approximately 10-12 years, which is unprecedented and is negatively reflected in companies operating in the sector.

Observers expect the market to witness a stage of “filtering” and reorganizing documents that accompany the departure and liquidation of many small and medium-sized companies and increase the merger and acquisition of some companies, and only strong companies will remain that enjoy great financial and technical solvency.
