Liverpool club coach Juergen Klopp said choosing Mohamed Salah to join the team was not difficult, due to his familiarity with him, saying he had become a threat to competitors.

Klopp said in his remarks to the satellite channel “BN Sports”: “The choice of Mohamed Salah was not difficult because of his abilities. We saw his brilliance with Rome and we also saw him with Basel when he played against Dortmund.”

He continued: “It was like a flying wing and we couldn’t stop it. We saw a young man of moderate physical strength and this is normal for his age group.”

He added: “I also followed him with Chelsea and continued his transfer to Rome, where he reached the height of football intelligence, was in harmony with Djekko and adapted to the way he played.”

He spoke about the characteristics of Mohamed Salah that made the club consider hiring him: “Before joining us, he played as far right, and was the most appropriate option to fill the gap left by Coutinho.”

“He is an exceptional player because you don’t always have a fast and artistic player, and what also sets him apart is his love of scoring goals, and that makes him a threat to all the teams we meet.”

He concluded: “It was not difficult to adapt to the way we play, because he is exceptional in his generosity, professional and plays with great passion and is the best ambassador for Arab football.”

Mohamed Salah moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from AS Roma, and became the most expensive African player at the moment.
