Apple is reported to delay production of the iPhone 12 for a month from the scheduled date.
This delay is the result of the impact of the emerging Corona virus on the iPhone 12’s supply and manufacturing lines, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
And news spread about Apple’s plans to launch four different iPhone models later this year.
Apple would launch the new iPhone 12 in September, as it begins distributing it to points of sale at the end of the month.
The company is still able to distribute the new phone due to manufacturing operations that continue through the summer months, allowing it to ship it to distributors immediately upon detection of the phone.
However, the delay in widespread production of the new phone may cause a shortage of its numbers on the market later this year.
Despite the current news about the delay in the production of the iPhone 12, this delay will not affect the launch of the new Apple phone, since it will manufacture it between July and September.
This won’t be the first time that the extensive production process has been delayed for Apple, in 2017 the iPhone 8 and iPhone X didn’t arrive until November due to production issues.
