The government confiscated all stocks of masks

French police said they confiscated 140,000 masks intended for sale on the black market.

Authorities said they arrested a businessman unloading jaws from a truck at a house in Saint-Denis, north of Paris.Last month, France confiscated all stocks of gags and their products to supply healthcare workers.

At this time in China, authorities reserved 89 million poor-quality muzzles. The state has faced criticism for its low-quality export. Government official Gan Lin said officials have searched around 16 million companies and also seized large amounts of ineffective antiseptics.

In Germany, medical wholesalers said the jaws had almost been exhausted. It will be mandatory from Monday that people cover their faces in stores and public transportation in the country.

What happened in Saint-Denis?

The price of masks online and in French stores tripled before all stocks were confiscated. The seized respirators included 5,000 high-specification masks (FFP2) for use by patients with coronavirus. About a third of the jaws seized were for surgery.

Among the suspects is a 60-year-old man, who is reportedly the seller who bought the masks for 0.50 euros ($ 0.54) per muzzle in the Netherlands. He sold it for between 0.55 and 0.60 euros, according to the newspaper “Le Parisien”.

The newspaper said the seller appears to have a list of clients, including the company’s bosses. The second suspect was a 46-year-old man who claimed he was about to buy some stock to sell.

There are many cases of seizures of muzzles in the Paris region since the beginning of the global epidemic, including 29,000 muzzles found in Aubervilliers and 32,000 muzzles seized in Saint-Owen, and the two regions are in northern Paris.

The country saw 160,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 22,600 deaths.

Chinese authorities have established new quality standards for mask exports

What does China do?

The massive seizure of the muzzles comes after several countries, including Spain, the Netherlands and Turkey, which had to retrieve hundreds of thousands of low-quality imported materials.

In the first two months of the year, 9,000 new factories began producing masks in China, according to the Tianyancha trade data platform. China issued new rules on Saturday stating that exported protective equipment must comply with international standards.

How does Germany prepare for compulsory muzzle use?

The country’s third largest provider, Jie from Stuttgart, said demand was outstripping supply isolated from proactive storage of new procedures. Several German states have emphasized that a cap around the nose and mouth would be acceptable.

Other countries, including the United Kingdom, have been reluctant to order people to cover their faces in a public place, partly for fear of draining equipment from hospitals.

In the United States, people are advised to wear a piece of clothing or cloth to cover their faces in public. Authorities stressed that medical masks are rare and should be left to health workers.

The Czech Republic also urged people to prepare their own clothing mask by making it mandatory to wear one in public places several weeks ago.

The researchers said that a non-medical mask can help protect others from being clothed if infected, but it won’t do much to prevent the virus.
