The Addiction Treatment Department of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment has announced the completion of the development of a unified treatment program that will be applied in all addiction departments in its hospitals.

Dr. Raghda Al-Jameel, Director of the Department of Addiction Treatment, explained that the program is called “recovery” and was prepared in accordance with evidence-proven and internationally approved scientific programs, and the program has already been implemented in the internal departments of all Amana hospitals.

In view of the current conditions the country is going through and following the procedures to prevent and prevent meetings, it has been decided to implement the program with patients who are recovering from addiction and reluctant to continue in the day care program, using various technologies via the Internet, where a special YouTube channel was created to show psychological education conferences for those recovering. Group and simplified therapy sessions are also carried out using various applications via the Internet.

This comes in the context of the General Secretariat’s attention to mental health and addiction treatment in the development of addiction treatment services provided in its affiliated hospitals.
