Several organizers of the “Kaaba March” in Alexandria were arrested for violating the ban.

Investigations by the Moharram Bey Police Department in Alexandria on Friday arrested several organizers of the Kaaba model’s march in the department’s sieve area.

Al-Masry Al-Youm learned that the march started from Sami Al-Baroudi Street and the surrounding streets after the prayers on Thursday, in violation of the ban decision and several people were arrested. A report of the incident was issued and a presentation was made to the Prosecutor’s Office to proceed with the investigation.

Activists discussed on the social networking site “Facebook” a video showing a large march organized by dozens of people on a sieve in the Muharram Bey neighborhood, carrying a model of the noble Kaaba, to celebrate the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan amidst the chants of “God is great … without a crown”.

Once the video was distributed, it generated a state of controversy among Facebook users, criticism and angry reactions due to the participants’ lack of commitment to the ban and preventive measures to combat the spread of Corona.
