The former crown prince of Jordan said he was placed under house arrest and his bodyguard was arrested.
In a video clip, broadcast to the BBC by the lawyer for Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein, King Abdullah’s half brother, the prince accused the country’s leaders of corruption and incompetence.
The prince’s statement comes after the arrest of the Jordanian security services, Sharif Hassan bin Zaid, and the former head of the royal court, Bassem Awadallah, among others.
