Al-Ahly holds decisive session with Kahraba after returning from Sudan

An official source from Al-Ahly revealed that the club will hold a decisive session with Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, the team’s wing, after returning from Sudan to face Al-Merrikh next Saturday in the fifth round of the group stage of the African Champions League. .

Al-Ahly announced the suspension of Mahmoud Kahraba for one month on disciplinary grounds, in addition to imposing a fine of 200,000 pounds on the player.

“It was agreed with Kahraba to arrange a session between him and the technical director, Pitso Musimani, after Al-Ahly’s return from Sudan to agree on some matters before participating in group exercises,” the source said.

He added that “during the session several issues will be agreed, including a commitment to Kahraba and not causing new crises, and not objecting to any decision of the coaching staff about their participation in the matches.”

He stressed: “Kahraba will not accompany Al-Ahly to the Sudan trip, in light of his suspension until April 3, which is the date of Mars’ match in the Champions League.”

The source added: “Kahraba is not physically ready as he does not participate in the Al-Ahly team training, and also did not participate in the friendly match with the club’s youth team last Thursday.

Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly’s director of football, is reported to have confirmed that Kahraba will return to Al-Ahly’s group training sessions on April 4, as soon as the penalty is completed after the Al-Merrikh match.
