Ranking of the top scorers in the Champions League after the round of 16

The young Norwegian star Erling Haaland has become the top scorer of the current UEFA Champions League season (2020-2021), after finishing matchday 16 of the “Champions League” tournament.

Erling Haaland, the “golden boy”, led his team, Borussia Dortmund, to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament, at the expense of his opponent, Sevilla, by scoring 5 goals, including a hat-trick in the first. And the Norwegian forward became the fastest player to reach 20 goals in the history of the tournament in 14 games, beating the Englishman Harry Kane, who reached the same number of goals in (24 games), Alessandro Del Piero (26 games) , and Rod Van Nistelrooy (27 games) and Filippo Inzaghi (28 games).

Haaland also became the youngest player to score in 6 consecutive Champions League games, at the age of 20 years and 231 days, surpassing 22-year-old Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé in number of goals scored in the Champions League 19.
