Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp admitted the difficulty of his team’s task in the English Premier League this season in the competition for Golden Square.

Klopp said in a statement released by the German daily “Bild”: “I like to be optimistic, but in the League it is almost impossible to qualify for the fourth-place qualifying competition for the European Champions League.”

“This will mean a great financial loss for us, and I will be questioned about our current situation, and this is normal and I will accept it immediately,” he added.

“But the situation is different in Liverpool. Everyone here, be it the management, the sporting director or the players, no one doubts the other. We have accepted this situation and we are fighting our way.”

He concluded his remarks: “Certainly when I finish my assignment with Liverpool, I will need a one-year break before I go back to work.”

Klopp has coached Liverpool from 2015 until now, and has won the English Premier League, the Champions League, the European Super League and the Club World Cup with the team.

Liverpool is seventh in the Premier League table with 46 points, after 29 games. 5 points behind Chelsea, ranked fourth.
