French Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron expressed his joy at training the Whites again, explaining that he returned despite knowing the difficult situation and the task in the African Champions League.

“The team accumulated only two points from 9 points, and is about to play two games against Esperance tomorrow, then against MC Algiers,” Carteron said at the press conference of the match between Zamalek and Esperance. “Our current goal is to continue in the championship and qualify for the next round.”

Carteron added: “I could have returned to Zamalek after the Esperance match, but I preferred to be present and live the adventure until the end. After returning to Zamalek, I did not find the players in the best physical condition, and I really wanted to raise the physical and artistic aspects individually and collectively to achieve a positive result, in tomorrow’s game and my talk with the players during the last days was about the need to enjoy playing and restore confidence and fighting spirit in all matches.

The French coach stressed that he will play the Esperance match only to win, without other accounts, and has absolute confidence in the ability of the Zamalek players to achieve this and qualify for the next round of the Champions League and compete for the title.

Zamalek needs to beat Esperance to reorganize his position in the group in light that White only has two points after going through 3 rounds, while Esperance is in the lead with 7 points, and Mouloudia Algeria and Summer arrive with 5 points.
