Galatasaray tied Sivaspur at home with one goal for each team, at Turk Telecom Arena, on matchday 28 of the Turkish League.
Colombian Radamel Falcao scored the goals for Galatasaray, while Max Gradel and Tyler Boyd scored the goals for Sivaspor.
Galatasaray raised their score to 58 points in second place, two points behind leader Beşiktaş, whose match is yet to be played this round.
Sivaspur raised his score to 34 points in eleventh place.
Egyptian international Mostafa Mohamed missed the match by receiving a red card in the last match against Ankara Gozo.
Coach Fatih Terim was forced to put pressure on veteran Falcao from the start of the match to make up for Mustafa Mohamed’s absence, so Falcao participated for the first time since the sixth round match against Erzurmspor.
Falcao scored for the first time since that appearance against Erzurmspor on October 24.
The exciting match began with a goal in the ninth minute through Gradel, but Falcao quickly leveled in the 14th minute with a great shot from the edge of the area.
Sivaspor took the lead again in the 38th minute, with Tyler Bond.
However, Falcao refused and scored from the penalty spot in the 68th minute.
Falcao raised his score to 7 goals in the Turkish league this season.
Galatasaray will play their next game against Kayseri Sport this Saturday, a match that will see the return of Mustafa Mohamed.
