The Prime Minister of Sudan, Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, confirmed that the process of unilateral filling of the Renaissance dam without reaching a binding agreement for the three countries (Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia), represents a threat to Sudanese dams and security. and owned by citizens residing on the banks of the Nile below the Renaissance Dam.
The Sudanese Council of Ministers stated, in a statement on Friday, that the Prime Minister met yesterday evening, Thursday, a delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo led by the envoy of the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, the current president of the African Union and his special adviser to the African Union Ntumba Luaba, in the presence of the Sudanese Minister of Irrigation and Resources Hydro Dr. Yasser Abbas.
The Sudanese Prime Minister thanked the delegation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo for their support for Sudan and the initiative presented by the Republic of the Congo to reach a diplomatic solution to the file of the Renaissance dam and inform them of the events in the archive.
For his part, the Congolese envoy made it clear that the Republic of the Congo is willing to develop and strengthen joint cooperation between the two countries.
