The “serious crimes” decision came after examining the case in two sessions, during which I heard the statements of the prosecution witnesses, namely: Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Al-Sagheer, Inspector of the Pyramids Investigation, two forensic doctors, a technician in the General Administration of Technical Assistance, and the mother of “Nadine” – the victim, who denied having killed her daughter, believing that she is still alive and lives in France – contrary to what the confessions of the defendants, security investigations, and investigations of the Public Ministry.

The “butcher of Giza” is accused of killing 4 people: his friend, his wife and two women in Giza and Alexandria, where he buried their bodies in two apartments.

The defendant, “Gaddafi”, 48, told the court, which showed him videos with his confessions while representing his 4 crimes: “I spent 12 days in the section of the pyramid (torture), and the one investigating with me was not this . officer, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Al-Sagheer, in which he was a higher rank than him. He’s the one investigating me, but I don’t know his name, and the confessions were under duress. They forced me to enter the apartments where the crime was represented, and even the prosecution when I entered the apartments they found all the ceramics and I was forced to talk about all this.

The defendant’s defense also requested that he be brought before the Psychiatric and Mental Hospital, for an acknowledgment and a statement of the scope of his responsibility for his actions.

Counsel Hamada Al-Sawy, Attorney General, referred the defendant “Gaddafi Farraj” to the Criminal Court in 4 cases in the departments of Al-Haram and Bulaq Al-Dakrour in Cairo and Al-Muntazah in Alexandria. Four of them – his wife, two women and a man – were allegedly punished for his premeditated murder during the years 2015 and 2017 and hid their bodies by burying them in graves that he prepared for that.

The Public Ministry said that it had established evidence against the defendants in the four cases based on the testimony of 17 witnesses, the confessions of the defendants in the investigations, and the exhumation of the remains of the victims’ bodies from the places where they were buried. , and what is proven by the reports of the anatomical character of those bodies and the comparison of the genetic fingerprints taken from them with that of the victims’ relatives. And what is proven in the reports of the “General Administration of Forensic Evidence Instruction” regarding the examination of the antiquities raised from the places of exhumation of the bodies, as well as the simulation of the accused of how he committed the four events. Investigations revealed that the defendant used a toxic substance to kill two of the victims before burial.
