Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al-Ahly’s medical system, confirmed that Ali Maaloul, the team’s left back, has started to recover from his hamstring injury.
Abu Abla said in press releases that Maaloul will gradually participate in group exercises, starting next Thursday, for a period of 48 hours, after which he will normally organize group training exercises.
He added that the Tunisian player will be ready to take part in the next matches after facing Simba, Tanzania, after the player finishes his solo qualification program in Cairo.
For his part, Al-Ahly’s doctor indicated that Taher Mohamed Taher will carry out group exercises for the team starting next Thursday.
Abu Abla confirmed that he is following the medical condition of Taher, who is in Cairo, where he misses confronting Simba due to his complaint of a hardening of the connective muscle.
Abu Abla explained that Taher is in the final stages of recovering from an injury and will be ready to participate in the team’s collective training starting Thursday.
Al-Ahly will play his second session at 12:30 pm Cairo time at the Gymkhana Stadium in Dar Al Salam, Tanzania.
Al-Ahly are preparing to face the Tanzanian third team, Simba, after next Tuesday afternoon, in the second round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
