Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson praised the duo, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, in the team’s match against Leipzig, crediting them with the victory.

Henderson said in statements, especially on his club’s website: “Salah and Mane appeared in good shape throughout the game.”
“Had it not been for their continued pressure from the front row, they would not have been able to exploit the two errors that resulted in the two goals,” he added.

“It was a difficult and important game for us. We are happy with our performance, and it was important to score two goals and keep the nets clean. Overall, it was a good night.”
He explained: “We gave a distinguished defensive performance from start to finish, and the whole team pushed as it should. We recovered the ball in more than one position and created several dangerous opportunities.”
“We are halfway there. There is still another game at Anfield, and there is no doubt that it will also be difficult,” stressed the Reds captain.
The rematch will take place on March 10 at Anfield.
