The Supreme Council of University Hospitals held a meeting yesterday, chaired by Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Dr. Hussam Abdel Ghaffar, Secretary of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and members of the City Council, using video conferencing technology.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister expressed his gratitude and pride for the enormous effort made by the medical staff working in the university hospitals during the last period, wishing the safety of all medical workers, including doctors, nursing staff and administrators, who deal with Corona virus patients.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar pointed out the need for university hospitals to prepare for the return from studies and to provide all preventive and precautionary medical needs and supplies, and to provide all necessary medicines to provide a distinguished health service to all students, faculty members and workers, whether in relation to the Coronavirus or other cases of illness.
Abdul Ghaffar ordered to continuously raise the degree of readiness of university hospitals to face the Corona virus, and prepare to increase the capacity of isolation hospitals at any time according to the epidemic spread rates of the virus, and coordination with the Ministry of Health through the Supreme Council of University Hospitals. Provide vaccination to medical teams of isolation hospital workers as the first priority, followed by members of the Egyptian university health team.
