Al-Ahly’s mission received an official notification from FIFA, confirming that Hussein Al-Shahat and Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba were deprived of participation in the match to determine third and fourth place against Palmeiras, Brazil.
Al-Ahly’s official website stated that arresting Al-Shahat and the electricity was due to players failing to comply with precautionary measures after Bayern Munich’s match in the World Cup semifinals, which ended with the defeat of Al-Ahmar.
Al-Shahat and Kahraba came spontaneously to shake hands with Mohamed Aboutrika, the legend of Al-Ahly, Egyptian football and the masses in the stands after the end of the Bayern game.
The two Al-Ahly players were isolated from the team and performed an additional urgent swab to detect the Corona virus, before the decision was made to exclude them from the match.
Al-Ahly lost, by a clean double, to Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup; Qualify the Bavarian team for the final match.
Al-Ahly is reported to face Palmeiras next Thursday night at the City of Education Stadium in the Qatari capital Doha in a match to determine third and fourth place at the Club World Cup.
