Earlier today, the “Times of Israel” newspaper revealed that 9 Israeli drivers participated in the 43rd Dakar Rally, which was organized earlier this month in Saudi Arabia, despite a ban on Israelis from traveling to the Kingdom.
The newspaper said Tel Aviv has long established secret relations with Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states, and that they have grown stronger in recent years to counter the threat from Iran.
