On Monday morning, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will open the first exhibition of vehicle conversion and replacement technology for clean energy jobs.

The exhibition aims to present the financing programs available in the framework of the initiative to convert cars to gas energy, as well as the awareness of the economic and environmental benefits derived from the expansion of the use of natural gas as a fuel for automobiles, and show joint cooperation between producing companies and the government sector to support technology transfer and research and development programs in the field of gas automobiles. In addition to presenting the steps taken to establish the necessary infrastructure for a gas car service system.

«Al-Masry Al-Youm» shows the most important information about the exhibition:

1. The exhibition will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center during the period from January 4 to 6, with the participation of the Ministers of Transport, Interior, Finance, Environment, Local Development, Military Production and the Organization Arabic for Industrialization.

2. During the exhibition activities, an initiative to convert cars to run on natural gas will be launched, with the participation of government agencies and interested local and international companies.

3. The objective of the exhibition is to present the financing programs available in the framework of the gas conversion initiative for automobiles, as well as the economic and environmental benefits derived from improving the use of natural gas as fuel for automobiles, improve joint cooperation between production companies, support technology transfer operations and research and development programs in the field of natural gas vehicles, in addition to raising awareness. The measures adopted to provide the necessary infrastructure to service cars that run on natural gas and electricity.

4. The exhibit includes a display of real-life models of cars that run on natural or modified gas, including sedans, buses, minibuses, transportation, and models of cars powered by electricity, a review of production experiments, and a discussion of the proposed means of cooperation.

5. The sample includes a special pavilion for ministries, banks and insurance companies to familiarize citizens who wish to benefit from the initiative to convert cars to run on natural gas with the terms of the initiative to benefit from it. It also includes conducting awareness workshops on the steps to complete the transfer programs, economic benefit and available financing.

Ambassador Bassam Radi, spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the president will inspect the pavilions and exhibition halls dedicated to the institutions and government agencies in charge of implementing the initiative to convert cars to gas energy, as well as the pavilions of specialized international companies exhibiting models and models of gas or modified cars.

The expo also looks at the latest developments in that industry, especially with regards to addressing all concerns and questions related to converting cars to run on gas power.

The spokesperson explained that, according to the president’s directives, a whole pavilion has been allocated to ministries, banks and insurance companies to serve citizens who wish to benefit from the initiative to convert cars to gas and guide them towards the steps and conditions of The initiative.
