For its part, the newspaper “The Guardian” believes that Mendy’s behavior may enrage Pep Guardiola (the team’s coach), as he has previously stressed the need for players to maintain their safety against the virus.

He stressed that if Mendy was available to play against Chelsea tonight, Guardiola could take disciplinary action by reinstating the player for the infraction.
