With a length of 156 km, and a width of 16 traffic lanes with 8 lanes in each direction, which makes it the widest axis of the road networks of the Middle East, serving tens of thousands of vehicles daily .
It contributes significantly to reducing traffic congestion and reducing the daily commute time of citizens around Greater Cairo. To achieve smooth and fast transportation, reduce car accidents, save fuel costs and integrate with the requirements of the comprehensive development process, as the Middle Ring mediates the southern geographic area that stretches between the regional ring road and the ring surrounding Greater Cairo; Be a great addition to the new axes and roads network system; And take a qualitative leap in traffic.
The president’s tour included the start of the inspection of the integrated development process for the Matareya area, the area’s new Muhammed Al-Assar corridor, which is one of the most important traffic arteries connecting the East Cairo area. with the Shubra Benha and Rod al-Farag-El-Dabaa axes, characterized by shortening the travel time from the capital, Cairo in a northwesterly direction. And to Dabaa and then to Matrouh, and it has the advantage of having a number of integrated service centers, gas stations and rest stops for commuters on both sides of the road.

And he ordered that all the canals and drains in the region be cleared and lined, and the roads on both sides of the region will be paved and raised as part of the national canal lining project, coinciding with the opening of the Central Ring.
Likewise, the President was informed about the progress of the executive procedures in force for the construction, highlighting the firm principles of adherence to the work completion schedules and high technical and engineering specifications, as well as the careful application of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, in the interests of workers’ health and safety.
