Alexandria – Muhammad Amer:
A tutor accused the administration of a language school in Alexandria of forcing his son, a first-grade high school student, to attend school to take an exam for some additional subjects, despite his infection with the emerging corona virus “Covid-19”.
According to a post that was widely circulated on social networking sites “Facebook”, the father said that he informed the school administration that his son was unable to attend the exam due to his infection with the Coronavirus, but was told that he should attend. even if he was infected, otherwise he would be considered a fail, according to him.
The father added, that the student complied with the decision of the school, and was surprised by the organization of a special committee for him that is “a seat and a takht in the courtyard next to the toilets”, saying: “All teachers the school refused to give my son the exam sheet out of fear for their lives … and they photographed him while he was sitting in the yard and posting his photos. ” on Facebook”.
The tutor asked the East Alexandria Education Administration to investigate the incident, which he described as “inhumane,” and to hold accountable those who put his son’s life at risk and treated him inhumanely.
In his first comment on the incident, Dr. Mohamed Saad, Director of the Directorate of Education in Alexandria, said that an urgent investigation committee was formed from the Directorate, headed by the Director of the Department, to investigate the incident and verify its authenticity.
The Director of the Alexandria Education Directorate added that the committee will travel to the school where the incident occurred, on Thursday, to hear statements from all parties, in preparation to take the necessary measures against offenders.
