France Football magazine announced the list of players nominated for the Best Player Award from the Maghreb region, and Ali Maaloul, defender of Al-Ahly and Tunisia, was present.

The list also included Manchester City and Algerian Riyad Mahrez, who won the award in 2019.

The Maghreb region includes Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia.

Ismael Bennasser, a player for Milan and the Algerian national team, and his compatriot Said Bin Rahma, a player for West Ham United, will compete for this year’s award.

Also from the Moroccan team are Sevilla goalkeeper Yassin Bono, Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, Fiorentina midfielder Sofiane Amrabat and Inter Milan defender Ashraf Hakimi.

Voting will open on Thursday on France Football to choose the best among the 10 candidates.
