The Cairo Criminal Court, held in the Fifth Settlement, on Wednesday sentenced the first and second defendants to death by hanging in the case of the murder of Maryam Muhammad, 24, in the Maadi neighborhood of Cairo.

Investigations by the prosecution revealed that one of the defendants ran towards her driving a car on public roads, and when he approached her, the other grabbed her from her backpack, and the victim tried to grab her, for which they hit her with A car parked on the road and they ran over her under the wheels of the car in which they were traveling, with the intention of taking her soul to be able to escape with the bag, causing injuries to her. She took her own life and this crime was associated with another crime ; In the aforementioned time and place, they stole cash and transfers from the victim on public roads, as long as he carried two concealed weapons (firearms and white weapons), and ammunition for use in the firearm, and the crime of homicide It was committed with the intention of completing the robbery incident.
While the “Public Ministry” accused the third defendant of participating with the others in the two forms of pact and of collaborating in the commission of the homicide, as he agreed with them to commit it and helped them by providing their own car to use in the commission of the crime with his knowledge of it, so the crime was developed based on this agreement and that assistance, in addition to accusing one of the accused. Acquiring the substance of cannabis, the drug for the purpose of abuse.
The evidence established by the Public Ministry on the charges indicated was obtained by the testimony of seven witnesses, one of whom recognized the defendant who was driving the car used in the crime as soon as he was presented with a legal presentation, and the statements of the two defendants who committed the murder and robbery in the investigations, which agreed with what was declared by the witnesses, and their approval. In a video obtained by the Public Ministry, the victim was shown moments before the crime occurred carrying the stolen bag, as well as the moment when it fell and one of the tires passed it. This is in addition to an admission by one of the accused that he used the narcotic substance hashish, and this was confirmed in the report of the “Forensic Medicine” as a result of the analysis of the sample that was extracted.
