Ashraf Qasim, supervisor of the Zamalek soccer team, revealed that his club did not reject Mustafa Mohamed’s professionalism due to financial compensation.

Qassem added, in remarks on Zamalek’s official website on Wednesday: “The club’s management asked Mustafa Mohamed to postpone professionalism and wait until after the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.”

He continued: “It is not logical to give up the player and there is no substitute for him, especially since Zamalek need 3 attackers in place.”

The Zamalek Club soccer team supervisor said: “Financial compensation is not the main reason for rejecting the professionalism of the player, but technical necessity.”

He noted: “We know that the player has the dream of being a professional in one of the major leagues, but there is a shared responsibility.”

He concluded: “The player must take into account the interest of the club, especially postponing professionalism after the Tokyo Olympics, which will be a positive factor, since he will have more than one offer from European clubs, which may be greater.”

The zamalek club had revealed in previous statements through official spokesperson Issam Salem that their club had received French, Portuguese and Turkish offers to sign with Mustafa Mohamed.

The Zamalek club is seeking a sum of $ 6 million from the sale of the 23-year-old during the winter transfer period.

It should be noted that Mostafa Mohamed has participated in two matches with Zamalek so far against the Arab Contractors and Pyramids, in which he managed to score two goals, instead he missed the last match of Smouha, which ended in favor of the white team (2-0 ).
