Hatem Ali also worked behind the camera as a television director, where he presented a large number of feature films for television, and a series of three and seven, and in an advanced stage of his artistic career, he presented an important group of social and historical series, perhaps the most important of which is: Al-Zeer Salem, which is a major turning point in His career.

He published two collections of short stories, “What happened and did not happen” and “The death of the old history teacher”, in addition to writing scenarios: “The nocturnal visitor” for which he won his first prize as director of the Radio and Television Festival from Cairo, the series “Al Qila” and others.
