Saudi Arabia announced the extension of the ban on flights and entry to the Kingdom through land and sea ports for one more week, as part of precautionary measures to combat the mutated Corona strain.
On December 20, Saudi Arabia announced the suspension of international flights for travelers, except in exceptional cases, temporarily for one week, extendable for another week.
At the same time, it announced the suspension of entry to the Kingdom through land and sea ports, temporarily for a period of one week, extendable for another week, as reported this Sunday by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The agency quoted an official Saudi Interior Ministry source on Sunday as saying: “The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to extend the work of the above-mentioned measures for one more week.
He added that “the movement of transport of goods, merchandise and supply chains is excluded from these procedures, as well as allowing non-Saudis to leave the kingdom’s territory, through flights, in accordance with the precautionary measures decided by the Ministry of Health”.
