During a telephone interview with the media, Ahmed Moussa, host of the “Ali Responsible Me” program broadcast on the “Echo of the Country” channel, the spokesman explained: The state of the Egyptian Football Federation and its general assembly is completely different from the general assemblies of the clubs, mainly because thousands attend the latter, but for the federation the matter does not represent a problem at all, as long as the number does not exceed one hundred or even two hundred, and in accordance with strict precautionary measures to be implemented during the electoral process.
He added that the government wants to reach an agreement with FIFA, FIFA, and therefore the holding of elections at the end of January will not be contrary to the government’s decisions to ban general assemblies provided that precautionary measures are implemented and Egyptian law and constitution are in line with international organizations and covenants.
