Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee that manages the Football Association, confirmed that the decision to postpone the summit between Al-Ahly and Zamalek was based on the desire for security.
A few days ago, the Football Association decided to postpone the summit match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which was scheduled for next Monday, within the framework of the fourth day of the Egyptian We League.
Mujahid added in remarks to the “Honorable Citizen” program on Al-Hadath Today channel: “When issues like this come up, they are not done until after security clearance is obtained.”
He explained that when the security forces see that the moment is not right, we respect their desire to do so, and we do not have the complete picture that is present in security.
He indicated that the game does not take place only in the stadium, highlighting that the decision is a vision of security and we fully respect it.
And he moved to talk about the crisis of the youth team and the mission was exposed to the Coronavirus a few days ago, while he was in Tunisia to participate in the North African Championship.
Mujahid apologized to the Tunisian team, where he said: “Your apology to the Tunisian team and the African Union for what was said in the Egyptian media about the youth team crisis after Corona’s injuries were discovered among the team.
He concluded: “We have formed a commission to investigate the matter, and it is expected that next Thursday will be the date to announce the results of the investigation into the crisis of the youth team in Tunisia.”
