Informed sources revealed to “Today’s News Portal” on Saturday that a decision was made during the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities that Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister Higher Education, would not appear in the media until the completion of the first semester exams. According to the sources, the two ministers, Shawqi and Abdul Ghaffar, are trying to end the state of constant pressure to postpone the date of the first semester exams or evaluate the students through investigations in light of the Coronavirus measures. .
Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced on his official Facebook page his participation in the monthly meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities of Fayoum University, led by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayum, Dr. Muhammad Latif, Secretary of the Council, and university rectors.

During the meeting, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar highlighted the importance of regularity of study and preparation for the partial exams in the first semester according to the hybrid education system approved by the Supreme Council of Universities with the continuous implementation of precautionary measures and preventive measures in all universities in accordance with the procedures approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.
Shawky added that the council listened to the presentation made by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank on the e-learning management system.
