The fatwa added: “The same is true if this substance remains from the natural point of view, it is called a component of pork, but there is no substitute for the pure in the speed of treatment or its effectiveness. Therefore, it can also be manufactured and used. “

The house clarified in its basis for the fatwa that it is prescribed according to the Sharia that the pig is forbidden to eat and eat, because Almighty God says: “You are forbidden to have death, blood, pork and what is qualified for something other than God, so whoever is obligated is not unjust and there is no sin in him. He indicated that most jurists believed that the pig is impure, alive and dead, while the Malikis believed that the pig is pure while it is alive, and that it is impure if it is dead, which implies the prohibition of treatment with it as well. . Because the jurists unanimously agree in the sentence that it is forbidden to be treated with impure, except in the case of necessity or urgent necessity in which there is no pure substance to replace the impure one.

Dar Al Iftaa clarified in his fatwa that the issue of the Corona virus vaccine that uses pork derivatives is based on the transformation rule, which is – that is: Istihala – the transformation of materials into other materials that have other components with different descriptions. If it is proven impossible, the sentence will be changed. Where the Sharia law has provided the description of impurity on a specific fact, and it has disappeared, then the description disappears when it is removed, so the description of the impurity is neglected by the impurity of the eye.

He added that if there is no transformation of the prohibited or impure substance, then it is not allowed to treat it unless there is no substitute for the pure ones, or the other pure ones have no effect on the speed of treatment or its effectiveness, as is the doctrine of the Hanafi and Shafi’i.

Dar Al Iftaa concluded its fatwa that, according to it, it is permissible to treat and use the vaccine used to combat the Corona virus if the material used in its manufacture is transformed into another substance.
