The Media Center of the Council of Ministers confirmed that what has been circulated about the suspension of studies in universities and institutes is incorrect, with the postponement of the first semester exams for a period of two weeks, to be held on January 30.
The center said, in a statement, on Saturday, that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has contacted the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which denied the news, confirming that it is not correct to suspend studies at universities and institutes with postponing the first semester exams for a period of two weeks, to be held on January 30.
He highlighted the regularity of studies in all universities and institutes at the level of the Republic, with exams that are carried out on scheduled dates according to the time map established for universities during the current academic year 2020/2021, with adherence to all precautionary measures and observance of social distancing rules to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
In the same context, there are daily monitoring committees to know the state of health of the students of the universities at the level of the Republic, as well as to emphasize to all the need to continue applying all the precautionary measures attached to sterilization and use of masks, taking into account the rules of social distancing between students, in addition to monitoring. All university hospitals are prepared and supplied with the strategic stock of medicines and medical supplies to face the Coronavirus, as part of the state’s desire to preserve the health and safety of students and all members of the educational system.
