The US media reported that members of the security services found body parts at the site of the powerful explosion that rocked Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday.

“Associated Press”, “CNN” and “CBS” cited security service sources familiar with the progress of the investigation that human remains were found directly near the scene of the blast, indicating that the remains were sent to the forensic authority for its corresponding analysis.

The sources added that so far it is not clear if the remains belong to a person responsible for the explosion or a victim who fell as a result of the accident.

Previously, local police officially said they did not know if there was anyone inside the home’s vehicle, which was the origin of the explosion.

And Nashville, Tennessee, police announced early Friday that a powerful explosion occurred at 6:30 a.m. this morning, which falls on Christmas, slightly injuring 3 people, who were taken to the hospital.

The blast destroyed several other vehicles and damaged buildings, and black smoke billowed into the sky and was visible from miles away.

Police indicated that the explosion was caused by a vehicle from the house and was most likely a deliberate act, adding that law enforcement officials closed the streets in the city center without revealing any possible motive.
