Councilor Nader Saad, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said that the most important role in confronting the infection by the emerging Corona virus falls on the citizen himself and those around him, and asked citizens to help the State to face the “black stage” he faced in the first wave.

Saad added, in statements to him, that there is concern about the increase in the number of injured that will exceed 1,000 injured per day in a few days, indicating that the pressure on isolation hospitals is increasing, and that the vaccine will not protect against infection unless the citizen follows the precautionary measures.

The government spokesperson said that the country now has 363 hospitals, which is the same number that it provided at the peak of the first wave of the virus, indicating that this large number of hospitals is what allows them to absorb cases, but the rate fan occupancy is currently 42%.

Regarding the possibility of issuing a decision to ban curfews on New Years Eve, Saad said that the option to impose a curfew on New Years Eve was not presented at any meeting of the Management Committee of Crisis.

The government spokesperson added that the committee will meet on its weekly date next Wednesday and will make the appropriate decisions according to what is presented to it, adding: “This option can be presented by a member according to their information or conviction, and the committee discusses and makes the corresponding decision “.

A cabinet spokesman stated that the government is about to announce the details of the application of immediate fines to violators of the decision to wear the muzzle, and law enforcement authorities will have the power to pick up the offender immediately.

He added that the mechanism for the collection of the fine in accordance with the previous decision by issuing a report for the offender that is transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office, which refers it to the State Security Failure Court and adjudicates the fine.

A cabinet spokesperson stated that the decision to apply the fine will not be extended to those who travel in their own car or walk on the street, but will apply firmly to those who take a “taxi or minibus” or any of the different means of transport. .

Regarding the possibility of applying new measures in the aviation movement, Saad said that until now the decision is in force not to enter any citizen from different ports without presenting a certificate that they are free of contagion with the Coronavirus, and there is no for the motion except with the state that announced its part, stating that the Crisis management will analyze the matter and determine whether or not a new decision is required.

He noted that the decision to prevent meetings issued last March with the start of the spread of the virus is still in effect, and Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly highlighted its implementation, especially with the growing number of infected people.

And the government spokesman added: “There will be no celebrations inside hotels, clubs and youth centers, not even open spaces, squares and any facilities that have been prepared for such celebrations, and the competent authorities are responsible for monitoring the implementation of the decision and impose sanctions on the offenders. “

Saad pointed out that there is a difference between the social gatherings to which the decision refers and the schools, because the latter is an organized process in which precautionary measures are applied, in addition to the need for students to attend schools, since distance education remains an alternative option and not the basis.

Council of Ministers Councilor Nader Saad said that the high number of Corona virus infections in Egypt during the recent period indicates that the situation has become difficult and requires a degree of responsibility on the part of citizens.
